some of the rarest and most interesting balls ( at least for me ) .....
085 blau "superschneller" series ( S around 58 cm. , D around 40 mm)
083 blau " mit blei" ( oldest series )
original mini "mit kork" "langsam" series
083 black ( "schwarz" ) " mit blei"
"uralte" Czeckien prototypes ( made in the 80s by P.Zubak and others) such as " blau Krone roh" or "red medium hard for rohr"
wagner 05 prototype "hellblau" ( super slow series )

der rot weisse mg ÖM 88 den es meines Wissens 12 mal gibt ist wohl der teuerste wenn auch nicht wertvollste Minigolfball.

Gefolgt von diversen Silberspecklingen vom schnellen 083 und langsamen weichen 085, sowie

vom legendären original Mini mit 10-12cm Sprunghöhe.

well , some years ago ( around 2000 ) at a tournament in Naturns a famous Dutch dealer showed me some balls form his collection : one was the " schwarz 083 mit bleik" ....
the balls was quite big ( D= 39.5- 40 mm. circa ) , not too much soft , very heavy ( I can estimate the G = 85 gr. circa ) with a jump ( S ) around 40 cm.
it had the very peculiar "Deutschmann smell" you can feel heating old blau 083-085 : it had the typic smell of "wet gummy boat" ( " nass Gummiboot " )
and looked made in two halves due to the two typical Deutschmann round signs( " rings" ) in the middle.
( these circular signs can be seen also in balls made by others such as Kiesow ).
he said that the ball was not for sale as in his life has seen only 3 and this was just the second he got in his hands ...
but that he could sell it for 1000 DM to top European collectors with just a couple of phonecalls ...

This is not 1001 night's - it's reality I know the Swiss guy who collect hundreds of Deutschmann 083 084 085 087, and he paid every price.

In 1992 when helmut Auer stopped playing minigolf, he owned 2 pcs of mg Auer (only these 2 pcs are produced bei leo Moik, ist was a mg ÖM 88 with only blue laquer and mg Auer printing)
Helmut sold a lot of balls during a german Championship tournament. He got an offer of 1300 DM for one of these two balls, he didn't sell this ball, these two balls are the only balls he kept until today

I agree with you about real crazy prices .....
by the way the same Dutch dealer the same year offered me 400 DM for one of my two original mini ( nearly "ungespielt" ) with these words : < I can offer you 400 as I can sell them for 600 ! >
I refused and he went away quite upset .....
anyway I never heard of this ball mg Auer before .. so this is probably the most "teuer" ball !!
